Sasquatch Music Festival, the big daddy Memorial Day fest that goes down at the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington state, just released a line-up:

That's a hell of a line-up and now I'm really considering going to this. The Gorge is considered by many as the coolest venue in the US. Tickets are reasonably priced and go on sale Saturday March 8th. More details on their website.

Sonic Youth is headlining an Arkansas festival called Dickson Street Fest in April with Charlie Daniels, 38 Special, Shooter Jennings, Michael Franti and Spearhead, and Little Feat. Weird line-up.

North Korea has invited Eric Clapton to play a concert there confirming that he indeed sold his soul to play guitar.

Medeski, Martin, And Wood have three albums planned for this year.

John Mellencamp and horror writer Stephen King are collaberating on a musical set to debut in Atlanta.

Monday Mash-Up

Kid Rock got arrested Saturday night after his show here in Atlanta at a Dekalb Waffle House for beating up a customer.

Japanese metal experimentalists Boris will be doing a free in-store performance at Criminal Records at 4pm today, and then playing at The Earl tonight. I highly recommend checking them out.

Atlas Sound (Bradford Cox of Deerhunter's solo project) has released a tracklist of the new album due out next year.

Mike Patton will be the voice of Bionic Commando in a video game.

Dinosaur Jr will be in Athens, Ga at The 40 Watt on December 3rd.

Death Cab For Cutie's Ben Walla got jacked by US Homeland Security. They confiscated a hard drive he had been using to work on his upcoming solo album.

Band Of Horses had a line-up change.

The Selmanaires and Anna Kramer each have a new album coming out early next year.

Friday Free-Style

The much-anticipated-by-me new The Mars Volta album, Bedlam In Goliath, is not going to be released until January 29th of next year. An old school vid for you:



The Langerado Music Festival in Florida, which usually kicks off the festival season, has moved to Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation(most famously known for the place Phish played new years eve 2000) for next year's event taking place March 6th-9th 2008. The line-up announcement and tickets sales are coming in November and we'll hit you with it when it happens. Phish at Big Cypress:



Battles are releasing a new EP, Tonto+, featuring live tracks and and remixes from their stellar full length of this year, Tonto.

Nirvana's MTV Unplugged performance will finally be released on DVD, which means that now you have to pay for it instead of downloading it for free on the live music torrent sites.
