Friday Free-Style

Saturday night we got a great show for you featuring Passer By and From Exile's last show before going on tour. It's absolutely free, and we got some kegs of free beer for you 21+ kids. Come down and witness the spectacle:

Creative Loafing has a great article on the Atlanta scene blowing up. They also apparently just heard Darkside Of The Moon and just discovered Lenny's.

Interpol
will be at Hi-Fi Buys on June 2nd for 99X's Big Day Out. They don't like Youtube. Here's a Youtube video:

Aereogramme are breaking up.

Arcade Fire don't have a beef with file sharing. That's probably because no one would know who they were without it.

Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails is pissed at his label.

So, I sort of liked the Lily Allen album when I heard it, but I'm really tired of hearing about her in music news and blog sites. If you don't know anything about it you can find lots of stories here, but I recommend avoiding that. In response to her attention-seeking, annoying behavior, Ohmpark will not mention her for the rest of the year (with the exception of reporting on my heckling of her at Bonnaroo).

Kanye West's new album, Graduation, comes out in September.

Word on the street is that there is no more 2Pac material left to make new albums, so we will assume he has finally died.

The new Animal Collective album, Strawberry Jam, comes out in September.

Pink Floyd played at a Syd Barrett memorial concert, but David Gilmour and Roger Waters were never together on stage.

You can stream the new Dungen album, Tio Bitar, here.

The new Nile record, Ithyphallic, is due out in July.

Smashing Pumpkins have finally announced who will be in the band. Here's the new album cover:

Here's Wilco on David Letterman:

UNEARTH have parted ways with their drummer.

Cee-lo and Danger Mouse have another Gnarls Barkley album coming out in the fall.

Girl Talk has quit his day job.

Sunset Rubdown's new album, Random Spirit Lover, comes out in October.

Snoop Dogg will be on an episode of HBO's Entourage in July.

Neurosis has new album coming out called Given To The Rising, and you can stream it and watch a short documentary on the making of it here.

Interviews for your reading pleasure:
Bright Eyes will be at The Fox Theatre tonight, so here's some videos:

Friday Free-Style

Mastodon will rock the Tabernacle Saturday May 26th with Against Me! and Cursive. Tickets go on sale tommorrow at 10am . Here's a Cursive Video:

Damien Rice will be at the Tabernacle on May 30th.

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are working on a new project according to frontwoman Caren O. I've heard rumors that Deerhunter is involved and that is why they cancelled their shows last weekend, but I have no evidence.

Beck's drummer, Matt Sherrod, has joined Crowded House.

The NAACP says that Bono cares about black people.

Some Guns 'n' Roses fan website has shut down in protest to the new album getting delayed. I can't believe there are still GNR fansites.

On the reunion tip, Michael Jackson is trying to put the Jackson 5 back togther.

The hot rumor is that Shea Stadium will be a location for Al Gore's Live Earth concert.

Ben Folds is doing a college campus tour, but is not hitting any in Georgia.

Roger Waters wants to play with the rest of the boys in the Floyd. Come on Dave! He's reaching out dammit!

Riding high on the reunion bandwagon, Genesis is touring the US, but nowhere near here.

Watch Queens Of The Stone Age in the studio working on the new album:

Lightning Bolt are touring the US, minus the south. They're doing a show in New York in two weeks with Marnie Stern. I bet that will be a helluva show.

Joanna Newsom new EP info.

Iron And Wine have a new album due out in September.

Here's a track off of Bright Eyes' new album due out April 10th: No One Would Riot
Bright Eyes will be at the Fox Theater May 18th.

Here's a track off of The Rosebuds' new album due out April 10th: Get Up Get Out
The Rosebuds will be playing with Beach House sunday night at the earl. I can't wait.

West Virginia's All Good Fest has announced their line-up. Notably Rat Dog, Les Claypool, Dark Star Orchestra, and STS9.

Lollapalooza sold some $60 secret tickets yesterday that I tried to get unsuccessfully for like 3 hours. Official tickets go on sale April 4th and the line-up gets revealed afterwards supposedly.

I'm gonna break down the Bonnaroo artist addition and schedule times rumors over the weekend so stay tuned.

Blues Traveler's John Popper got arrested for marijuana.

SXSW is so big, there's a festival in Lousiana that's theme is being a gas station and lodging stop on the way to SXSW. Really good line-up for a spring break stop.

It looks like Tool drummer Danny Carey is cool, and they've rescheduled their tour before Bonnaroo, so the Bonnaroo date looks like it's still on.

Lots 'o interviews:
Friday is a good day for a !!! video. From the new album:
