I just wanted to thank everyone who came out last week for our show at WonderRoot. Royal Bangs, This Piano Plays Itself, and Nomen Novum all put down fabulous performances. We video taped everything and will have that, as well as all the Bonnaroo footage I got, available soon.

The much-anticipated-by-me new The Mars Volta album, Bedlam In Goliath, is not going to be released until January 29th of next year. An old school vid for you:



The Langerado Music Festival in Florida, which usually kicks off the festival season, has moved to Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation(most famously known for the place Phish played new years eve 2000) for next year's event taking place March 6th-9th 2008. The line-up announcement and tickets sales are coming in November and we'll hit you with it when it happens. Phish at Big Cypress:



Battles are releasing a new EP, Tonto+, featuring live tracks and and remixes from their stellar full length of this year, Tonto.

Nirvana's MTV Unplugged performance will finally be released on DVD, which means that now you have to pay for it instead of downloading it for free on the live music torrent sites.

Of Montreal will be at the Variety Playhouse on November 20th. Tickets are on sale today so get them quick because this will sell out.

The White Stripes have new album coming out soon called Icky Thump.

Somebody said "Biggie Smalls" three times in a mirror and now The Notorious BIG is back with a Greatest Hits album out this tuesday.

The new El-P album drops march 20th and contains collaberations with The Mars Volta and Trent Reznor. Hells yeah.

Postal Service have new record called Dumb Luck coming out April 24th in case you hadn't heard.

Actor Matt Dillon is directing the new Dinosaur Jr video. I hope his directing is better than his acting.

Fiona Apple and Jon Brion are doing some benefit shows together in Jon' house/venue Largo in LA next week. Wish i could see it.

California's Joshue Tree Festival has announced their line-up.

Billy Martin and John Medeski have put Chris Woods (MMW) in time-out and have recorded a duet album together called Mago that comes out in May.

Ryan Adams drops his ninth album on June 5th called Easy Tiger.

Akron/Family's Seth Olinsky has a solo album that came out last Tuesday. Best of Seth's Sparrow Trout Heart Sprout is hard to find and going for like 40 bucks on Amazon. Some mp3s are available here.
